Product Description (English)

Model 6860 dispersant spray system that operates as a slung load from a helicopter with a cargo hook. Fully self-contained power source that is independent of the helicopter. Up to 240 gallon capacity (helicopter dependent). Two spray arms with 34 spray nozzles. Spray swath of 50 feet. Empty weight 375 pounds, fully loaded 2,367 pounds.

Product Use

Airborne application of dispersants by helicopter. Generally effective within 25 miles of helicopter pad.
 

Operational Considerations

Pilot control via a hand control unit. System can be jettisoned in an emergency. On board pump can be used for filling system from dispersant drums. Helicopter must be equipped with an external cargo hook. Pilot must be experienced in the flying of external loads. Weight of load can be varied within aircraft limitations.
