Product Description (English)

Canflex FCB-25 (2 each), 2,500 gallon (60 barrel, 10 metric tonnes) towable storage bladder. Constructed of  PVC coated polyurethane fabric.   10 feet of 4 inch suction hose attaches to bladder with a 3 inch or 4 inch ball valve, supported by buoy.  Adapter fittings and valves are included. Packaged in K-4 aluminum container which can also be used as temporary storage, capacilty of 552 gal./13 bbl./2 m3.

Product Use

Temporary floating storage for recovered oil in support of on-water skimming operations. Can also be used for storage of recovered oil on land when placed in a shallow pit for support.
 

Operational Considerations

Vessel operators need to exercise care in towing bladders by being aware of the draft and in maneuvering alongside piers.  Filling and discharging is accomplished through use of ball valve at end of hose which is suspended by a floating buoy.  Air inflatable chamber in nose for buoyancy.  Each unit, along with its fittings, is individually packaged in a heavy vinyl bag for easy handling.
