| CCA pioneered the concept of meeting spill response personnel and expertise needs through a network of contractors, consultants, and other specialists. The contract is executed by the Contractor and a CCA Member requiring response services. The relationship with these companies is reinforced by providing occasional training and exercise participation, equipment familiarization, or other exposure opportunities to the CCA Member companies, and has been formalized through the acceptance of a Pro Forma Response Contract.
The Pro Forma Response Contract was developed by the CCA in it's facilitating role. The contract would be established between the Contractor and CCA Member requiring response services in a spill. By clarifying terms and conditions for an international response ahead of time, it encourages CCA contractors to respond outside their normal operating areas and jurisdictions, while addressing both Contractors' and Members' legal requirements.
More than 30 companies participate in the CCA Contractor and Resource Network.
